Who we are

We are a queer-led training academy and consulting firm. We believe in the power, resilience and joy of our communities.

Diane Goodwin

An organizer at heart, Diane (all pronouns) knows the power of integrated data-driven campaigns and winning culture shifts. Her work to transform public policy, support movements, and pursue equitable access to essential services changes lives.

Diane has dedicated her career to pursuing issues for public health, immigrant justice, LGBTQIAA+ equality, food waste prevention, criminal justice reform, recycling, paid leave, transit and health care access among others.

Diane is passionate about supporting and coaching communications professionals in justice-based movements. She has more than three decades of experience including leadership roles at Brink Communications, Basic Rights Oregon, President Obama's 2012 re-election campaign, TriMet, Hill & Knowlton, Los Angeles County Public Health and Howard Brown Health Center.

Megen Ickler

Megen (she/her) believes we can build movements to influence change by integrating our communications with organizing theory. She approaches her work through a community and audience-first lens that centers the lived experiences of those most impacted by racial injustice. She knows that for communications to be effective, we must start by understanding the landscape, and then designing realistic solutions that we can implement.

During the last decade, Megen has worked as an political organizer, in the Oregon Legislature, advocating for public health policy and serving as Communications Director for Oregon House Speaker Tina Kotek, and as a consultant specializing in behavior and social change communications. Megen’s experience spans across the labor, climate justice and voter rights movements — from developing digital strategies for non-profit clients urgently needing to reach communities experiencing hunger in the early days of COVID-19, to overseeing highly visible, state-wide paid leave campaigns for government agencies.
